Менгушовецкий Перевал под Хлопкем (Mięguszowiecka Przełęcz pod Chłopkiem) — один из самых сложных и захватывающих маршрутов в Татрах. Мы смогли подняться только до Казальницы на высоту 2100 метров, но не дошли до перевала буквально 207 метров из-за сложных зимних условий. It ranks among the top five most difficult routes, and a winter ascent makes it a true test of skill and endurance. This trail is known for its significant exposure and almost complete lack of artificial protections. In summer, under good weather conditions, the technical challenges are minimal. However, in winter, everything changes: narrow rocky ledges that are easy to traverse in summer become snow- and ice-covered slopes angled toward sheer drops. These conditions can make even experienced climbers' hearts race. It’s no surprise that in the 19th century, the trail to Przełęcz pod Chłopkiem was called "a trail for the tourist elite." Our route started and ended at the Morskie Oko hut. We managed to climb up to Kazalnica at 2100 meters but stopped just 207 meters short of the pass due to challenging winter conditions.
