The book "Belarusian National Idea on the March" states "Live your own life and don't interfere with others". The Lukashenko authorities cannot decide whether Belarusians need to search for a national idea or if it is the first step towards Nazism. How can the nation be united? The author of a series of books on the national idea, Zmitser Lukashuk, was invited to discuss what our idea is and whether it exists at all. Topics discussed include language, freedom, independence, national symbols as symbols of protest, government attempts to brainwash children, divisions among Belarusians, and where to start one's journey to Belarusian identity.
