PRESIDENTIAL TALKS Belarus and Mongolia are becoming closer - distance of 7 thousand kilometres is not an obstacle to cooperation and collaboration if the Presidents set the tone. The leader of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, arrived in Minsk on an official visit. The distinguished guest is in Belarus for the first time. HUMANITARIAN MISSION The Belarusian side has officially joined the humanitarian operation in the front line town of Oleshky in Kherson direction. A plane carrying the Russian delegation arrived at Gomel airport, and the Ukrainian delegation arrived in Novaya Guta. Belarus will become the first starting point for a major international process and has already begun to fulfil its part of the obligations under previously reached agreements. To facilitate the humanitarian operation the Russian and the Ukrainian sides with the mediation of the United States reached an agreement on ceasefire in the vicinity of the settlement. COMPREHENSIVE PARTNERSHIP The Belarusian-Mongolian Business Forum has become a business platform for strengthening the economies of the two countries. More than a dozen contracts have been signed: from the supply of agricultural machinery and building materials to food. In the first 6 months the trade turnover between the two countries increased by 12 percent. Belarusian exports to Mongolia increased by more than 20 percent. It is expected that the agreement on a free trade zone between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and Mongolia, which entered into force this summer, will open up new opportunities within our cooperation. It provides for a reduction in customs duties. STRATEGIC DIALOGUE Belarus holds an extremely important place in Vietnam's foreign policy. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai during a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. Maxim Ryzhenkov is currently on an official visit in Vietnam.
