AIRCRAFT INDUSTRY The enduring unity between Minsk and Moscow stands the test of time. Belarus' multi-vector foreign policy will not jeopardize our allied ties. Our President is convinced of this. Aleksandr Lukashenko met with the Governor of Ulyanovsk Oblast, a key centre for aircraft manufacturing and aviation industry of Russia. Our countries are developing cooperation in this sector. PARLIAMENTARY DIPLOMACY Belarus aims to expand cooperation with Uzbekistan across all sectors. A significant new step is the signing of Khiva Declaration during Uzbek-Belarusian Interparliamentary Forum. The focus is on industrial cooperation, trade and collaboration in medicine, education and tourism. The two nations are actively working to boost trade turnover, striving to reach the two-billion-dollar target set by their leaders. Trade volume has already grown by 34% in the first half of the year. UNION STATE MACHINE TOOL The capital hosted a major industrial exhibition. "Innoprom. Belarus". The scale was evident from the very entrance: over 500 largest companies from 40 countries showcased their cutting edge solutions on an area of more than 20.000 square metres. Cooperation agreements were signed at the exhibition. Belarus and Novosibirsk Oblast began working within the framework of interstate project "Union State Machine Tool". GLOBAL REACH Belarus showcased its products at Saudi Food Show, an international food and beverage exhibition held in Jeddah. Domestic producers brought dairy and confectionery products, cheeses, rapeseed oil, chips and snacks made from Belarusian potatoes to Saudi Arabia. In total more than a thousand companies from 90 countries participated in the event. For the Belarusian side this represents an opportunity to showcase its products and find new international partners. COLLECTIVE SECURITY The CSTO exercises Interaction, Search and Echelon started in Russia. The relevance of these maneuvers stems from the extremely complex global military-political situation.
