December 10th was a massive night for the Charlotte underground. Snug Harbor was packed to the rafters—shoulder to shoulder with absolutely no room to move. The arrival of noise rock/sludge titans Whores. is always a major event, and the sold-out crowd definitely wasn’t disappointed! The energy on stage was unreal. Frontman Christian Lembach proved once and for all that age and weight are just numbers. Despite the years and the gut, the guy is a machine—he played practically non-stop, running and jumping around the stage with the ferocity of a punk kid half his age. Right there with him was Douglas Jennings Barrett, hammering the skins like a complete maniac to keep that massive wall of sound going. Balancing out the chaos was the younger bassist Casey Maxwell, who looked like he was having the time of his life tearing it up with these high-energy vets. ⚠️ WE NEED YOUR HELP!
