This song was suggested to me by a Sioux native who suggested the idea of making a traditional native american song, I took him up on that offer, and so this song ended up being made.
The song is a Sioux prayer song before the inipi ceremony which is a religious experience not taught to non Lakota. It is associated with sun dances and those beginning to walk the red road. The purpose of the song is to call upon the Great Spirit, the head god of the Sioux and also known as Wakan Tanka who leads people down paths of wisdom and life.
