Latvia revokes the citizenship of Ilyas Makhamaev, opens a criminal case against him and declares him on an international wanted list.
Ilyas, who has Belarusian roots and served in Latvian special forces, became the object of persecution after his statements about the situation in the country.
He claims that Latvia has lost its freedom and, in his opinion, is on the path to self-destruction.
The Latvian State Security Service has already filed cases against 13 people for taking part in the conflict outside the country, excluding those who side with Ukraine.
