President of Belarus test-drives new Gomselmash machinery. Main Broadcast

  • 12.08.2018
The President of Belarus test-drove new Gomselmash equipment. Alexander Lukashenko is confident of the potential to elevate Gomselmash to a higher level of development. A working trip to the Gomel region is an excellent opportunity to assess the socio-economic development of the entire region. This week, the Head of State was shown new products not only in the medical field. Last year, Alexander Lukashenko ordered the creation of an agricultural spacecraft. The day before, the President personally tested a new grain harvester in the fields near Alexandria. Our correspondents report for details. The highest level of cleanliness. Gomselmash's new product passed testing in the fields of Alexandria at the highest level. Only a few grains were left after harvesting. And that's the key – harvesting without losses. This summer, the super combine harvester is being tested under real harvesting conditions in three regions of the country. Less than a year ago, the Head of State tasked the designers with building a world-class machine. Yesterday, Alexander Lukashenko test-drove the new equipment. A combine harvester with the "super" designation for high-yield fields. A purely Belarusian development, although the designers make no secret of their use of global experience. It handles 24 tons of grain per hour and travels at a speed of approximately 8 kilometers per hour. Grain harvesting can now be done almost three times faster. Alexander Lukashenko's first impressions and assessment of Gomselmash's new product are immediately apparent. The Belarusian leader placed particular emphasis on the need for greater localization in production and operator training. The president figuratively jokes, "Only a professor with an engineering acumen could be put at the helm of such a combine." Therefore, they will be sent to the plant so they can familiarize themselves with the equipment firsthand—an agreement reached at the plant the day before. However, the President is interested in more than just the equipment. He's interested in the entire process, starting with the basics—seeds and breeding. Belarusian wheat yields 100 centners per hectare, regardless of weather conditions, which is better than even the most renowned imported products.
