Director of the Center for Sociological and Political Studies at BSU David Rotman. Topical Interview

  • 26.11.2019
Belarusian society has become increasingly demanding of politicians running for parliament. This is the conclusion drawn by sociologists analyzing the recent election campaign. While previously candidates for parliamentary seats were content with education, business reputation, visibility in their districts, and positive personal qualities, voters now demand openness and direct dialogue with society. There's a demand for leaders who not only understand the problems of their districts and the state but are also willing to defend their solutions for improving the situation, looking voters in the eye. David Rotman, Director of the Center for Sociological and Political Research at Belarusian State University, shared these survey findings in an exclusive interview with our television channel. All the paradoxes of the recent parliamentary campaign and an unbiased sociological perspective are presented in "Aktualnye Interview."
