I follow this pair of Grey partridges (Perdix perdix) all summer long, during that time they prefer to stay at the small but nice meadow in the center of the city not far from the river bank. But at the begining of September all vegetation there was mowed and I guess the birds need to find other shelter and leave the area. So I was glad to find the pair again nearby the meadow 2 times in 3 last days. The birds were very shy and secretive and tried not to fly to not attract the attention of people on the bank of the river.
